How do I upload an image?

There are several ways you can upload an image. Start by creating an image item or opening up the media uploader.

1. Upload from Your Computer

You can select any image file from your computer provided it is in the jpg, jpeg, gif, png and svg formats. If you need to convert your file, use this free online converter.

2. Library of photographs

Search through millions of photographs. Simply search for a topic or theme and you can select a photograph. All images are of high resolution and will look great on any display. As a bonus, the image source will be automatically added.

3. Drag & Drop

You can drag and drop any image taken from an website. Some web browsers such as Safari and Edge do not allow for this, but it does work Firefox and Chrome.

We call all projects created on Sutori stories, a broad term for the wide variety of presentations and creative options. You can create timelines, by adding dates in headings while enjoying an original vertical lay out.

There are a variety of ways you can share your story. Start by opening up your story and clicking on 'Share' under the banner to the right. Watch the short 1 minute video to see the options.

You can:

Invite others to view, comment or edit your story.
Share to Google Classroom
Share via email or on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest)
Keep your work private or public (all work is private by default)
Access and copy a sharing link
Access and copy an embed code

How do I embed a Google Doc, Drawings, Form, Sheet, Slide or Google Map? Can I embed a file from Google Drive?

All the Google Suite can be embedded directly into Sutori. This is fantastic for having everything in one place, thus keeping the reader focused, immersed and removing the distraction of keeping other tabs open.

Please note you can embed any file taken from your Google Drive by copy-pasting the URL into the link section in the media uploader. Here’s how to embed specific Google’ suite resources:

1. Go to your Google resource and click on ‘File’ and then ‘Publish to the web…

2. A box opens up. Click on ‘Publish’.

4. Create a 'Link' item on Sutori or open up the media uploader. Select 'Link' and paste the link

Google Maps, Forms:

No need to make a Google Maps or Forms public. Simply copy the link and paste it into Sutori for it to be fully embedded. Below an example of how it works for Maps but it is the exact same process for Forms.

How do I share my story with my teacher?

There are several ways you can share your story with a teacher. Start by opening up your story and clicking on 'Share' under the banner to the right.

| Please note that if you have added a teacher to your account, she/he can already access your work and add comments to it.

Share to Google Classroom

This option enables you to directly share to your teacher through Google Classroom.

Share the Link

You can set different editing/viewing and commenting rights and copy this link. You can also share via email directly.

Add Your Teacher as a Contributor

Through this option, your teacher can edit and/or comment on your work.

| If you are under 13, you cannot make your work public and therefore share your work on social media or embed into another website.
