How do I reduce the size of an item so it displays on both sides of the line?

If an item has been expanded, you can reduce its size by clicking on the item and then the arrows icon as on the screenshot below.





Please note that the display of a story adapts to the size of your screen. If you do not see the arrows icon, you either have to expand the size of the window or your screen is too small (tablets or mobile phones for example).
